Get answers to common questions about Bikini Wax.
Gently exfoliate a few days before, avoid tanning and intense workouts, and ensure hair is at least quarter-inch long. Arrive clean and avoid heavy creams. If on medications or retinoids, tell your esthetician to reduce sensitivity.
Some discomfort is normal, but our trained estheticians use quick techniques and soothing products to minimize pain. Most clients experience smoothness for three to six weeks depending on hair growth and aftercare. Regular waxing often reduces regrowth and sensitivity over time.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, pools, and heavy exercise for 24 to 48 hours. Wear breathable cotton underwear, apply soothing aloe or our recommended post-wax balm, and gently exfoliate after three to five days to prevent ingrown hairs.
Some medications and topical retinoids increase skin sensitivity and risk of lifting or damage. Please disclose any prescriptions, topical treatments, or recent chemical peels when booking. We may ask you to pause use or recommend a patch test to ensure safe waxing.
Hair should be about quarter-inch to half-inch long, approximately two to twelve millimeters, for effective waxing. Shorter hair may not grip properly, while excessively long hair can be trimmed. Our estheticians can trim if needed for optimal results.
A traditional bikini wax targets the hair along the swimsuit line and exposed areas only. It does not remove hair from the labia, inner buttocks, or full Brazilian areas. Discuss desired coverage with your esthetician to choose the right waxing service.
