Trim hair to about 1/4 inch if needed, avoid shaving for 3-4 weeks, exfoliate a day before, and skip heavy lotions or sun exposure. Arrive clean and communicate any concerns to your esthetician for a smoother session.

Some discomfort is normal, especially on first waxing. Pain varies by individual, area sensitivity, and hair thickness. Our experienced estheticians use calming techniques, breathing guidance, and optional topical numbing to minimize pain and increase comfort.

Most clients enjoy smooth results for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycles and personal biology. With regular waxing, regrowth often becomes finer and sparser, which can extend time between appointments.

Temporary redness, tenderness, or small bumps can occur but usually resolve within 24-48 hours. Risks like ingrown hairs or infection are rare with proper care. Contact us if you experience persistent pain, swelling, or signs of infection.

Certain medications and topical treatments—like retinoids, Accutane, or strong exfoliants—can increase sensitivity and risk of skin damage. Always inform your esthetician about prescriptions and recent procedures; we may require a consultation or adjust timing.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, intense exercise, and tanning for 24-48 hours. Wear loose cotton clothing, apply a soothing fragrance-free lotion or aloe, and begin gentle exfoliation after 48-72 hours to help prevent ingrown hairs.
